Ervin G. Watson was born on May 10, 1947 to the late Jim and Georgia Lee Watson.

Ervin confessed Christ at an early age at Greater New Prospect Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend A.J. Polk. He recently rededicated his life to Christ with Dr. T.L. Richardson of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.

Ervin married Catherine L. York in June of 1970. To this union, one child was born. On July 13, 1984, he united with the late Barbara A. Wickware. To this union, two children were born.

Ervin graduated from Powell Point High School and drove trucks until the onset of his health challenges. In his spare time he enjoyed listening to music and working outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Georgia Lee Watson, Wife, Barbara Watson, brothers, Jim and Albert Watson and brother-in-law, Curtis Bowens

He leaves to cherish his memories three children: Linda Y. Scott (Jeffrey) of Pearland, Dominique Watson and Ervin Watson, Jr. of Missouri City; three sisters and four brothers: R.L., Linda(Van), Larry (Leola), Lena (Larry), Dwayne (Toni) all of Needville, Leon (Brenda) of Rosenberg and Sandra (Percy) of West Columbia. Four grandchildren: Courtney Scott, Courtland Scott, Ervin Watson III, Skylan Watson and expecting one; two sister in laws: Barbara Watson of Needville and Brenda Wickware of Missouri City. He also leaves precious memories with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, family and friends.
